So, what's been happening on this system? Many tumultous ups and downs with the phone line have resulted in the re-installation of the slower V.32bis modem. Despite this, or probably because of this , we've clocked over 3000 calls in one year. The userbase remains at around 60 due to regular purging, with about twenty hard-nosed individuals making regular appearances to syphon the filebase of its contents! 63 Megs downloaded by the most extreme glutton is not bad in my books... So what's the excitement all about? 4500+ Windoze ICOn Files, about 1000 MIDi files, almost 2000 Windoze True Type Fonts, about 800 WAVe files, 788 MODs, hundreds of assorted text files, stories, FAQs and manuals, and last but most certainly not least, almost 4000 JPG/GIF files in almost 300Megs (mostly adult :) as well as the usual load of games and other serious applications... (and not a single CD-ROM in sight!) And what's in store for next year? Latching on to a few mail- and file networks (finally), hopefully internet access to some extent, more files, quite a few more doors, and... who knows what else? Not too miserable for a free BBS run by a lone SysOp... See ya! ... ## The HMVH Corporation BBS # [+27 11] (011) 941-1341 ##
