Herewith we'd like to explain the purpose of File Area 800: Thumbnails.

The general idea here is to allow the user the opportunity to at least
'pre-view' the GIF/JPG files available on the HMVH Corporation BBS before
 selecting and downloading them.
The thumbnail archives are titled #XXX-YYY.ZIP, where XXX and YYY are quite
simply the disk numbers in the SysOp's collection. These .ZIP files are
created in groups of 10 (ten) disks as and when the material is available.
This does not necessarily signify ten files in the #XXX-YYY.ZIP archive!
What it does signify is ten disks worth of thumbnails at roughly(!) 800*600
resolution which should give you a pretty good idea of what you've got
 available for download.

To answer a question you're probably asking yourself: No, it is not at all
practical to create thumbnails for each File Area as they exist on the BBS.
New files are added far too frequently, and the File Areas themselves are
 quite dynamic.

For reasons of sheer volume, the CD-ROM areas are not included either.

I also have a mailing list, to which the recipients therein the contents of
Area 800 are emailed shortly after they are created. If you'd like to be
added to the list - let me know.
